Cabinet Ageing Oven

This is a cabinet oven for testing rubber and plastic materials in compliance with ISO and ASTM standards. Depending on the model, options such as low/high air speed, laminar/turbulent flow, and a rotating shelf are available.

EB 04-II

The EB 04-II cabinet oven meets the requirements of ISO 188 method A, featuring a low air velocity and an adjustable flowmeter with a range of 3 to 20 changes per hour.
The EB 04-II is capable of precision aging tests for rubber and plastics under controlled conditions. The oven is available in two sizes, with a volume of 60 liters and 120 liters. Test conditions are set on a PLC color touchscreen.
EB 04-II requires an external air supply. If compressed air is not available, the quiet air compressor EA 01 is available as an optional accessory.
Elastocon’s cabinet ovens achieve excellent temperature stability and temperature distribution by using an internal chamber with controlled airflow.Temperature accuracy is critically important in heat aging tests. A 1°C temperature error corresponds to an approximate 10% error in the test duration.
Two temperature sensors are used: one for temperature control and the other for measuring the temperature near the sample. These sensors can also be connected to logging software.
This oven is ideal for aging finished products and large test pieces that are not suitable for a cell oven. It comes with shelves and rods to accommodate most types of samples.
Note: Install the oven in a stable temperature environment of +10 to +30 °C.

EB 12-II

The EB 12-II cabinet oven achieves a fixed ventilation rate of 7 (default) or 14 air changes per hour, meeting the requirements of ISO 188 method B, due to its high-speed laminar airflow from bottom to top and a factory-set throttle.
With the EB 12-II, rubber and plastics can be subjected to precise aging tests under controlled conditions. The oven is supplied in a single size with a volume of 50 liters. The test conditions are set via a PLC color touchscreen.

EB 26HT

The EB 26HT cabinet oven features high air velocity and a fixed ventilation rate of 7 (default) or 14 changes per hour, meeting the requirements of ISO 188 method C. It also features a rotating frame for easy and quick sample placement. The rotating rack, which spins during testing, can hold up to 36 samples.
With the EB 26HT, it is possible to perform precise aging tests on rubber and plastics under controlled conditions. The oven is offered in a single 50-liter capacity size. The test conditions are set on the PLC color touch screen.

In addition to the rotary frame, the EB 26HT cabinet oven is also equipped with the following features.

  • Window in the door
  • Lighting inside the chamber
  • Door sensor that stops the fan, heater, and rotating frame when the door is opened

Caution: Install the oven in a stable environment with a temperature between +10 and +30.

EB 27

The EB 27 cabinet oven features two flow meters, accommodating exchange rates from 3 to 200 per hour while maintaining a low air velocity within the chamber. This cabinet oven meets the requirements of ISO 188 method A, IEC 60811-401, IEC 60216-4-1, ASTM D5423 types 1 and 2, ASTM D573, and ASTM E145 type IIA.

With EB 27, it is possible to perform precise aging tests on rubber and plastics under controlled conditions. The oven is offered in a single size with a volume of 120 liters.

The test conditions are set on the PLC color touchscreen.

EB 27 requires an external air supply. When compressed air is not available, we offer the quiet air compressor EA 01 as an option.
